Jaime Romano has been President of ACT since 2007 when the company joined the IPSA Group. Before this, Jaime Romano occupied the position of Commercial director in IPSA.
Previously he was Commercial Director of the company Aquira (Telefónica, BBVA, Iberia and Repsol YPF) directly administrating a team of twelve people, and in charge of defining the commercial strategies, management and following up on commercial objectives related with indirect channels of sales. At Arthur Andersen he was manager of the financial entity section in the Madrid office.
He has extensive experience as an instructor in the training program of Arthur Andersen, and has participated as a speaker in seminars organized by IIR Spain, Recoletos Group, and Lafferty Group. Also he is member of the Registro de Economistas auditores (REA) and is inscribed in the Registro Oficial de Auditores de Cuentas (ROAC).
Jaime Romano, was born in 1966, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business (Specializing in Company Direction) from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid.
He is the VPE-Operations Manager of ACT since November of 2007 and is responsible of the Printing, Mailing, Consulting, Operations and Pre-Sales Areas. He joined ACT in 2005 as Project Manager for the implementation of the Integral Banking System (ADTEK) in the Banco Gubernamental de Fomento of Puerto Rico.
Since 1986 he developed his career at the Grupo Banco Santander where he occupied diverse positions, during three years he was Director in the International Information Technology Area, and after that responsible of IT in Latin-America and IT Director of Grupo Santander in the island. Throughout this period, he also assisted the branches of the Grupo Banco Santander in Asia (Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong) in technological matters during 3 years.
Among his achievements can be pointed out the implementation of the Y2K Project for the Banks of the Grupo Santander in Latin-America and the implementation of the new Banking Integral System (denominated ALTAIR) on the Banco Santander Puerto Rico, having responsibility over more than 300 people, during 2.5 years.
Osvaldo Karuzic holds a degree in Pure Mathematics and Computer Sciences from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Joined ACT in 1997 and is the director of the HR Department. After her incorporation she was in charge of setting up the bases from which the Administration and HR departments were created.
Heading the HR Department she is responsible for the administration of policies and norms, benefits, personal selection and performance evaluation.
One of her greatest accomplishments in ACT is having sponsored the Educavipro program in which the company fulfills its social responsibility, providing employment for people in the Vocational Rehabilitation Program. Thanks to this participation ACT was recognized for several consecutive years as one of the distinguished employers together with many multinational companies.
In September 2007 she was incorporated as Chief Financial Officer in the ACT team.
She previously worked for Evertec as Financial Analyst. In 2003 she joined Scandata as Administrative Manager, since 1992 she worked as Authorized Public Accountant and started her private practice offering Auditory, Consulting, Contributions and Accounting services for small and medium businesses.
Nitzia Sánchez, holds a Bachelors in Business Administration concentrating in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of PR and is currently preparing her thesis for her postgraduate degree in the contributions area at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon, PR.
Accordingly with the new version of the Project Management Body of Knowledge fourth edition. ACT develops the PMP courses calendars for the preparation of the PMP certification exam.
IPSA, leading Spanish business in technological image treatment R&D, continues its international expansion with the acquisition of ACT in Puerto Rico. IPSA Spanish software business developer for the extraction of information contained in documents and conversations, has acquired 100% of the puertorican business Advanced Computer Technology (ACT) leading business in Puerto Rico in system integration, training and processes outsourcing.
