Project Management Institute (PMI) is the organization responsible for establishing the norms and principles generally accepted for an optimum administration of projects. The PMI has carried out a contribution of great value with the publication of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), documents which contain all the norms and principles generally accepted for the superior administration of projects.

The certification of the Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI is the credential of Project Management most recognized worldwide. In 1999, the Department of Certification of the PMI received the ISO 9001 Certification in Quality Management Systems, being the first department of the Professional Certification in receiving this recognition at a worldwide level.

Advanced Computer Technology (ACT) is one of the founders of the Puerto Rico Chapter for the PMI and since 1999, is a “Registered Education Provider” (R.E.P) authorized by the PMI in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean to offer courses in Project Management.

As a business in project management training and with its Educative Services department, ACT has developed the professional development plan to give training for each organization that wishes to manage their personnel.

This training is intended for:

• Professionals that have carried out Project Management in the workplace and want to obtain their certification as PMP.
• Professionals that are Project Managers and that have carried out Project Management in the workplace and wish to obtain a formal education on the norms and general accepted principles.
• Professionals that are not Project Managers, but wish to obtain a formal education on the norms and general accepted principles or wish to be certified as PMP. 

ACT, through its training program, can help you obtain this accreditation as Project Management Professional (PMP) which is most recognized and valued internationally and that will acknowledge you in the industry to work as a Certified Project Manager in a competent way.

This training program includes the teaching of the following courses:

• Fundamentals of Project Management
• Preparation for the PMP Certification

The Fundamentals of Project Management course includes the materials used in the classroom in an individual folder, the PMBOK or Fundamental Guide, tests by subject, practice exercises, one (1) CD with stencil of basic methodology of project management forms and participation certificate.

The Preparation for the PMP Certification course includes a folder with material to present at each session, reviews and techniques to answer the exam, a CD with practice exams with over 1,300 questions and a participation certificate.
